A Message From Becky

There's something special about Nova Scotia.

You feel it in the fishing communities along our South Shore, the pride and resilience of Cape Breton, the energy of Halifax and the small towns that make this province home.

But more than anything, you see it in our people. Their kindness, determination and belief that tomorrow can be better than today.

That’s what brought me to this moment.

For me, public service has always been about integrity, standing by your principles and having the courage to do what’s right. I walked away from Tim Houston’s government because I could no longer align myself with the direction he was taking our province.

Each of us comes to the Liberal Party for our own reasons, shaped by our experiences, our convictions and our hopes for Nova Scotia. But what brings us together is far more important than what brought us here: our shared values, our commitment to public service and our belief in what we can accomplish together.

From the moment I joined, I was welcomed with open arms. And over this campaign, I’ve come to appreciate just how special this party is. I’ve met lifelong Liberals who stood by us through difficult times, dedicated volunteers who are united in their desire to win the next election and new members who are bringing their fresh energy and ideas.

This is the party I want to lead, because I believe in its people and what we can accomplish together.

There’s an election on the horizon. We have a party to build, candidates to recruit and communities to reconnect with. Having served alongside Tim Houston, I know his approach to leadership firsthand, and I’m ready to challenge him directly.

But our greatest opportunity is to demonstrate to Nova Scotians what we’re working toward: a province where quality healthcare is accessible, homes are affordable, responsible economic development creates opportunities for the next generation and communities have what they need to thrive. A province where a good life is within reach, wherever you live.
