Becky Druhan Officially Enters Race for Leader of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party

BRIDGEWATER, NS — Becky Druhan, current MLA for Lunenburg West, is officially a candidate for the leadership of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party.

“I love Nova Scotia. But life here is harder than it needs to be and Nova Scotians deserve better,” says Druhan. “I believe Nova Scotia can be a province where every community is healthy, vibrant, and full of opportunity — a place where young people choose to stay, families can afford to put down roots, businesses can succeed, and seniors can age with dignity.”

With a diverse career spanning law, non-profit advocacy, and the provincial cabinet, Druhan emphasizes that the depth of her experience has prepared her to lead the party into a competitive, collaborative new chapter.

“I’ve spent my life building. I’ve helped people navigate challenges as a lawyer, improved access to health care with VON, and as a cabinet minister, led meaningful legislative and policy changes that strengthened opportunities for Nova Scotians of every generation.”
